Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates is seeking a Full-Time Patient Representative in our mid-town Charlotte office. We have been established as a private medical practice for over 75 years and currently have been recognized as one of North Carolina and Charlotte’s Top Workplaces.
IMPORTANT: The physicians of Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine have made the decision to make COVID vaccination mandatory for all employees by October 31, 2021, with exceptions for medical or religious reasons. You will need to have your first or single dose of the vaccine, submit an exemption request, or provide proof of vaccination within two weeks of hire.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience; medical office customer service is highly favored. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while insuring excellent patient care. Must be able to work as part of a cohesive team, maintain accuracy and be dependable.
  • Checks in patients; collects payments and verifies and/or updates insurance.
  • Obtains proper insurance documentation and demographic information.
  • Processes new patient paperwork and/or updated paperwork.
  • Prepares for upcoming appointments.
  • Explains insurance authorization to patients as necessary.
  • Schedules follow up appointments as requested by physician
  • Counts Petty cash and document on log.
  • Complies with all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
  • Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
  • Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
Available to float to other Charlotte-area locations as needed.
